More than 2500 years ago, the first celtic Miners dug deep tunniels into the Salzberg.
Today, where men once fetched salt from inside the mountain, you can go on an exciting voyage of discovery with your whole family. You will be dressed up in protective clothing and then you will board the  mine railway, and travel deep into the mine. The tour will lead you through mysterious tunnels to the fun miner’s slide. In the blink of an eye, you’ll be 50 meters down on the banks of the subterranean salt lake. There, on a journey by raft over the lake, you’ll watch a multi-media presentation, the highlight of the mine: glittering, fascinating and mysterious. Then down another slide, you’ll meet the “man preserved in salt” and learn his story. In 1577 and again 1616, Celtic miners were found buried by mine collapse.
