Schloss Fuschl: legendary structure with a picturesque backdrop

The Schloss Fuschl Hotel has stood majestically on a peninsula on lake Fuschl since as far back as 1450. Those who stay here will also feel time stands still - the castle has seen nobility and archbishops, emperors and movie stars. Today this fairy tale castle offers a historic ambience with a view of the surrounding mountains as well as convenient proximity to Salzburg. We are happy to bring our guests from the airport or the railway station of the Mozart city “Salzburg” to the hotel at lake Fuschl in a limousine or one of the hotel's own vintage Rolls Royce cars. Those arriving with their own car can enjoy the picturesque landscape on the fascinating route from the motorway and prepare themselves for a unique experience in a magnificent location within the legendary Sound of Music area.

From Munich

• Take the A8 motorway toward Salzburg.
• Follow the signs for the A1 toward Wien (Vienna).
• Take the Thalgau exit and follow the signs to Hof bei Salzburg to the hotel.

From Linz and Vienna

• Take the A1 motorway toward Salzburg.
• Take the Thalgau exit and follow the signs to Hof bei Salzburg to the hotel.

From Graz

• Take the A2 motorway toward Klagenfurt.
• Follow the signs for the A10 toward Salzburg and then take the A1 toward Wien (Vienna).
• Take the Thalgau exit and follow the signs to Hof bei Salzburg to the hotel.

Arriving by train

Salzburg's central station is located a mere 15 kilometres from Schloss Fuschl. From there our guests may either take a taxi or make use of our pick-up service. The hotel's own limousine service presents the legendary world on Fuschlsee on arrival.

Arriving from the airport or by helicopter 

It is just 20 kilometres from Salzburg Airport to the majestic Schloss Fuschl. Named after the world famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Salzburg W.A. Mozart Airport is the second largest airport in Austria. Our noted limousine service is also available for the transfer. Within the Schloss Fuschl grounds there is a helicopter landing pad which is available to all guests of the hotel.
